Write headings

ScreenSteps is different than Word and PowerPoint in that you create articles by combining a series of steps. As I mentioned earlier, each image is in its own step, and each step has a place for a heading (equivelent to H2) and paragraph text as well.

Double click on the heading field

Most of the time, your headings will be a command - click here, write this, do that. That's because your tutorials are often showing a user how to do a process, and a process is completed by a series of actions.

Add a heading to each step

Continue to modify the headings. If you decide a step doesn't need a heading, you are welcome to leave it out.

Taking screenshots first, adding titles later

One reason I recommend taking screenshots first is because we often forget the steps that make up a process or a task. As you go through the screenshots, you'll see every step, which makes writing the actions down much easier.
